Nia and Tina, who have been friends for 14 years, have come up with an adventurous idea to cycle together all the way from Bangor, North Wales to Cardiff, South Wales between 3rd – 9th June to raise money for charity. They're calling their challenge, 'The Journey to the Core'!
Tina has a neurological condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia and uses a wheelchair as a tool for her independence. They will cycle together on a Hase Pino Adapted Tandem. Despite living with Friedreich’s Ataxia, Tina doesn’t let it stop her, and hopes to raise £10,000 for 3 wonderful charities that do a fantastic job of enabling disabled people to enjoy the freedom of adventure sport.
To raise disability awareness and try to change attitudes, they will also be stopping at 4 different locations on the way to deliver workshops.

Ski4All Wales – This charity runs skiing sessions for disabled people weekly at Ski Pembrey
Tonic Surf – This Charity runs daily sessions for groups or one to one adapted surfing in Pembrokeshire
Access Adventures – This charity runs various adventure sports camps. Tina loves the adapted water ski camp, which takes place annually.
