An update on how we’re adapting to COVID-19
Following the latest government advice including further limitations on public
travel, I wanted to update you on further actions we’re taking to give you the
best and safest possible service.
We also continue to update our Days Rental regularly with any new
information, so please head there first to always get the latest news from us
and how our services are adapting to these challenging times.
How we’re helping
We’re still working hard to protect our customers and our colleagues. We
are making sure to follow the latest health authority and government advice
to reduce risk and keep you safely supported by our Day’s Rental Team.
We’re in regular contact with our guidance bodies who talk directly with
government ministers to make sure those who need to be on the road can
stay safe, and to keep our critical supply & breakdown services running so
that we can help if you need us. The Transport Minister has asked us to
remind you that non-essential car travel should be avoided.
The Government has announced that cars, vans and motorcycles due to
have their MOT from 30 March 2020 will have a 6-month exemption from the
MOT test, although your vehicle must be kept in a roadworthy condition.

We’re helping as many of our colleagues to work from home as quickly as
possible, so they can observe travel limitations and ensure safe
Those who are unable to work from home but remain fit and well, will
continue to follow social distancing guidelines to ensure we’re there to
support you when you need us at all of our 12 UK hire locations.
We’re also changing our Central Reservations Call Centre (01792 222133)
opening hours from Monday 30 March to 9am until 4pm Monday to Friday,
to ensure we can continue to answer your calls with a reduced workforce.
This means there may be some longer waiting times on the phone, but we’re
all working hard to keep service levels as high as possible whilst looking
after our people. There are also live contact forms on our web site that are
continually monitored and we will respond to any queries ASAP. Contact us
